A Little of the Why
After 20+ years my hurt and anger has turned into irritation, disgust. As media continues to advertise Bipolar in one way (mainly), negatively, for their own self-serving reasons, I can no longer want to hide. I want to offer a look into a life with Bipolar, one that vastly differs from what is currently being represented, mine.
This will not be a photo-shopped view looking for praise or an exaggerated outlook to get sympathy. You will have the opportunity to see the good, bad, ugly, and boring of being Bipolar. Including snippets with Therapists, relationships, what mania and depression looks like, how stable does not mean your mind is constantly trying to trick you and how it impacts every part of my character, including those I am proud of.
I will be raw and bluntly honest about everything, make excuses, and will not exclude any part of my life, except for one, my face and identity (to protect my kids).
Questions, comments, contrasting opinions are welcome BUT those that are disrespectful and abusive will be blocked.
Love,
Walking Bipolar
